We found this amazing stripe fabric in Amish country in Pennsylvania. It is in amazing condition, even after being over 80 years old. The stripe is the most beautiful shade of blue that is a classic homespun look. We reinforced the bottom of the bag with a really soft authentic deerskin hide that is from the Hudson Valley area.
Made from re-purposed fabric. Every piece of old fabric has a history and carries along with it stains, repairs and fading that speaks to who owned it and used it. We feel there is a true beauty in showing the heritage of a textile and the journey it's been on.
The bag is fully lined with natural cotton canvas.
Shoulder straps are made from 8oz. natural tanned heavy leather and secured with solid copper rivets.
There is an interior pocket with a zipper closure made from a 1940s chambray work shirt.
Bag measure 17 1/2" wide, 15" tall, 4" deep
Shoulder straps have an 8 1/2" drop
