Highlands Foundry X Salt + Still Collaboration
This piece was created in collaboration with another talented maker Salt + Still. We started with vintage selvage denim from the 1970s to create this one of a kind bag. We decided to cut the denim on the reverse side which was really interesting with all of this natural slub texture. The bottom of the tote is made with a tan cowhide leather. The straps are a heavy 9oz. vegetable tanned leather and secured with solid copper rivets. They bag is fully lined with navy heavy duck canvas and has a double interior pocket reinforced with copper rivets and deerskin mounts.
The front panel of the tote has an incredible hand Sashiko Stitched pattern in a South Western motif, that was created by Salt + Still. All of the stitches are by hand, truly making this a special one of a kind piece.
