We created this large weekender style bag using a vintage WWII military canvas duffle bag. We kept the original strap and hardware including the large grommets at the top. We also added a front pocket using a piece of 1800s navy wool coverlet + denim and fully lined the inside with a second additional pocket. The strap is made using the original cotton heavy web strap and added a heavy leather strap to the side of bag so this can be worn as a cross body or use the leather handles at the top. Very large and roomy inside.
